报告内容：
This talk will provide an overview on research activities being undertaken at School of Engineering at RMIT University, Australia, in using both the state-of-the-art computer modelling (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) and laboratory experimental (LDA/PIV) techniques to investigate the complex transport processes of various fluid flow and heat transfer problems and multiphase flow systems. The talk will detail the development of models, experimental techniques and their applications relevant to a number of industrial and engineering applications such as in aerospace (airliner-cabin environment), nuclear safety (flow boiling), chemical engineering (bubble columns), energy (coal-fired power generation), building construction (fire and dust) and biomedical engineering applications (drug delivery and pollutants through human airways and blood flow system).
主讲人简介
屠基元教授，1982年、1984年在东北大学分别获学士和硕士学位，1984—1989年任复旦大学讲师，1992年获瑞典皇家理工学院博士学位。曾任澳洲墨尔本皇家理工大学（RMIT University）工学院副院长兼学术委员会主任。现任RMIT University教授，清华大学卓越访问教授。多年来一直从事于计算流体力学(CFD)的教学和研究，目前从事多相流与传热的数值模拟与实验基础研究，及多相流在核能，航空，汽车，建筑环境及生物医学工程的应用研究，已发表学术期刊论文500多篇，新出专著12本，由国际著名出版社（Elsevier 和Springer）出版发行，其中《多相流计算方法与应用》一书荣获英国化学工程师协会最佳出版物Brennel奖章。现任《Experimental and Computational Multiphase Flow》期刊主编，联合国（UN）及国际原子能机构（IAEA）专家委员会成员、国际计算流体力学会议组织委员会常务委员。曾两度荣获墨尔本皇家理工大学优秀教学奖和杰出研究奖。并且在清华大学，国防科学技术大学，东北大学，四川大学，重庆大学，西安交通大学，中国科学院大学，南京航空航天大学等国内名校任教讲课，课后受到学生和教师的一致好评。
